About Sam Saad

With a lifetime commitment to giving back to the community, Sam Saad offers the right combination of business knowledge and political experience for serving the citizens of Naples.

While some residents may volunteer in their communities by supporting not-for-profit organizations or charitable causes, Sam believes in contributing through local public service. For the past year, he has served on the City of Naples Planning Advisory Board. His service on this advisory and zoning board has given Sam a grasp of the most pressing issues facing our town.

The theme of Sam’s campaign is “Our Naples.” The highlights of which include preservation of Naples’ pristine beaches and public parks; maintaining the city’s friendly, small town atmosphere; safeguarding the community’s historical and cultural offerings and laid-back lifestyle; and working to ensure that Naples remains an attractive place to conduct business.

Business and Professional Experience

Sam is the owner of Sam J. Saad III, PA, a real estate and business law practice that provides general legal advice and tax planning to small business owners. These services include closing residential and commercial real estate transactions, negotiating mergers and acquisitions, drafting lease agreements and other contracts, and preparing tax planning strategies for aircraft owners.

Prior to establishing his own business, Sam was an attorney with Advocate Aircraft Taxation Co. in Naples. In this capacity, he implemented tax planning strategies for aircraft owners; negotiated aircraft acquisition, financing and insurance terms; conducted tax-free exchanges; drafted purchase contracts and other agreements; and represented clients before state taxing authorities.

Political Experience

Throughout his life, Sam has been interested in politics. Prior to moving to Naples, he was a Presidential Appointee serving as Special Assistant to the Solicitor of Labor at the U.S. Department of Labor. Before that, he served as Coalitions, Management and Communications Assistant on the Bush-Cheney 2004 reelection campaign. This experience provided him with vast knowledge of managing state and national election activities and media communications.

Personal Background

A native of Nebraska, Sam is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln earning a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration. Saad has a Juris Doctorate (JD) from the Creighton University School of Law in Omaha, Nebraska, where he graduated with honors. While attending law school, Sam was Associate Editor on the law review.

Sam and his wife, Amy, relocated to Naples and have been married for three years. They reside in Lake Park, where they are raising their two young children, Lola (2) and Sammy (7 months).

Community Participation

As a small business owner, Sam stays in touch with the many issues facing the local business community. He is an Executive Member of the Greater Naples Chamber of Commerce and actively participates in the Collier County Bar Association and Young Professionals of Naples. From the days of his youth, Sam has been a member of the National Eagle Scout Association.

Accessible and Open Minded

Regardless of the issue, Sam has the honesty, intelligence and motivation to lead our town. He will always treat people with respect and do his best to do what is right for the citizens of Naples.

Throughout this campaign and once on Council, Sam will reach out to citizens across Naples to gather their thoughts and suggestions on the issues facing our town. He is committed to working hard to represent those who have felt that their voices don’t get heard by the current Council. In doing so, Sam will ensure all stakeholders are represented in the shared vision for “Our Naples.”
